ICC hits a new low… Hair reinstated

darrellhair.jpgIn one of the most disgusting moves forced by the political arm-twisting of Cricket Australia, the ICC has reinstated Darrell Hair back into the elite panel. What is more puzzling is that the ICC has declared that Hair would not officiate in any of the Pakistan team matches, in a view to work some sort of shady compromise, which is now going to further break the rather fragile excuse of a system which is currently in place. India wins the commonwealth series

sorryponting.jpgFinally an exciting match happened and what a match it was… Gripping, tense and good cricket all around. Australia fought fabulously to peg back India to what was turning out to be a huge 300 plus score and India put relentless pressure on the Aussie batting to scrape home. Read more… »

India crowned u19 world champions

87880.jpgCongratulations team India

Two wrongs make a right… the human googly

Peter Roebuck’s article, “what price justice?” highlights some important points on the attitude of the BCCI with regard to this hearing. I couldn’t help agreeing with some of his views and thought it deemed fit. Read more… »

A great series amidst hollywood melodrama

Before the start of this series, my expectations on the performance of the Indian team would have been a series draw and sadly however hard you try to not read the score line, it shows Australia wins. So am I disappointed with the fabulous 5 ageing Indian batsmen and the young bowlers… not really? Read more… »

Bad blood

It was strange when I wanted to write this post, I felt it was a long time since I listened to my good old metal collection and ended up hearing the soundtrack of the Matrix movie by Ministry… the song “bad blood’, which ironically this series had its share of spills. Read more… »
