Soulberry... no complaints on test cricket... but I thought the general quality of the match was very ordinary... it was nice to see a kiwi fightback and the highly overrated vaughan do a sourav ganguly survival act. I now am hoping that the kiwis lift their batting in the second innings to make the match interesting.

Scorpi, I sat through a few more overs than five before I switched the channel off. Then there was the inane commentary from the box...Nasser and co.

Test cricket needs time to evolve and I was ready to concede that being a test cricket enthusiast myself, but the cloud cover forbode it - a jinxed test was in the offing.

Perhaps that put me off more...as subsequent events showed, England's lack of enterprise added to the earlier fears which were confirmed.

Yesterday, England tumbled nonsensically from a position of dominance. We Indians are quite used to that, we play too much hit-and-giggle stuff to be a force in test cricket, but England?

Haloa SP.. nah am not awed by the IPL pace... the first day was genuinely dull for a test match... no contest and not so great bowling... day 2 was better.
