He has expressed his desire to play until 2011 WC. That means he has 25 tests and he averages around 6 wickets in a Test. Which should leave well short of 1000 wickets. However I am not sure of the number of Tests England, Zimbabwe or even Bangladesh will play against him during the said period.:) 1000 wickets is practically impossible.
