For what was a long and boring commonwealth series, I was hoping for some exciting brand of cricket being played in the finals and a decent match went by with India quite easily beating the Aussies. The Indian bowlers did well to restrict the Aussies to 240 but should also be kicking themselves that they conceded so much, considering they were tottering with 3 wickets down with less than 25 runs on the board within the first 6 overs. Bhajji and Tendlya stick it to the Aussies

A great day for the series as such and finally India sticks it to the opposition to throw open the match to a great contest. It was important that Tendulkar and Sourav play well to ensure that the total comes close to the Aussies and they both stuck it out as well as they could. It took a couple of failures on the part of Dinesh karthik that too up the order, which is typically not his bread and butter spot, for a witch-hunt to be ordered.
